SUMMER INSTITUTE 2025: BECOMING A TRAUMA-INFORMED RESTORATIVE EDUCATOR
Join us at the beautiful Dyck Arboretum of the Plains for the 2025 Summer Institute: Becoming a Trauma-Informed Restorative Educator. This immersive experience will equip educators with the knowledge and skills to integrate trauma-informed practices, creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. Participants will explore Trauma-Informed Restorative Practices for all tiers, Foundation Bal-A-Vis-X Exercises, the C.L.I.M.B. Alternative to Suspension Framework, and Educator Well-Being. Through these focus areas, attendees will deepen their understanding of neuroscience and trauma-informed approaches, develop brain-aligned teaching and regulation strategies, and learn practical alternatives to suspension. Educators will also gain valuable stress regulation and wellness techniques to sustain their own well-being. With hands-on restorative practices, this institute provides actionable strategies to promote student accountability, resilience, and success in the classroom.
