Our goal for A Restorative Place is to strengthen Connecticut’s network of Restorative Practices offerings by building up the infrastructure so they are more easily accessible to youth and families.

What we set out to do and how.

Objectives

Identify and map Restorative Justice practices, programming and training happening in the state of Connecticut.
Activities
  • Create a tool to capture data and an inventory of identified practitioners and services
  • Outreach to Restorative practitioners
  • Compile and analyze stakeholder feedback

Convene practitioners to discuss their work and build connections for strengthening offerings and ability to refer

  • Create a Restorative conversation structure to engage practitioners on what the online resource should include
  • Hold convenings
  • Compile and analyze stakeholder feedback

Build an online interface to hold information about services available so that youth, families, and service providers can find Restorative supports
Activities
  • Utilize results of survey and convenings to design requirements for database
  • Identify data storage and web design components
  • Engage practitioners in testing online repository
  • Launch website
  • Promote availability of website
